How it works
Participants send through a 1 minute clip which will be uploaded to our Instagram account.
The video has to be the participant performing one of their pieces. In terms of the visual content of the video, it can be anything that the creator wants. You can act with your friends, edit videos however, the content used has to be original.
You are not allowed to download videos from youtube or any other video hosting service to reuse in your work.
The audio has to have the participants voice, especially considering that they have to do the live video if they manage to get into the final. The video has to be strictly one minute long.
No need to introduce your name especially since it will be included in the caption when the video is posted!
Submissions will only be open for 2024
Deadline for the Submissions is 2 January 2024
The voting period will be open from Tuesday 3 January & Wednesday 4 January. 1 Like = 1 Vote.
Participants will then be encouraged to share the link for their videos to friends, families and others and encourage them to vote.
We will discourage the use of bots to try and get extra votes. We have put in measures to counter and identify any use of bots, if you are caught you will be disqualified.
The top 5 Contestants proceed to the final and will be announced on the 5th of January, they will also be given the topic for the final which they will have to prepare for.
The final round of the competition will be hosted on an Instagram live video!
The final 5 will deliver pieces on a topic that will be disclosed after the voting period.
Each finalist will be given 2 minutes to deliver their live performance.
After the performance, a voting window is opened, then the live audience has to comment out of 10. An average for the votes is calculated. This average is 35% of the final mark.
After all the finalists have performed, pictures of the finalists will be posted on to our Instagram story with a slider for voting, the percentage from this vote will account for 25% of the final mark.
Judges will have the last 50% of the vote.
The total mark of all the votes will then be calculated.
The contestant with the highest mark wins!
